Students will be coming to the harvest dance on Saturday, November 22, starting at 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. This dance will be happening in the commons.
The theme for this dance is “Something in the Orange.” by Zach Bryan. Attire for this dance will be semi-formal country.
“[I expect] people dancing, and moshing right in the commons. [There is also] a photobooth and streamers as well as string lights to decorate the school,” sophomore class officer Easton Funk said.
The main type of music to be expected at the dance is country.
“A lot of country music will be played; we wanted the theme song for at least one of them and a couple of other songs as well,” sophomore class president McKenna Cook said.
Different from previous years, this is one of the most country themes. “Something in the Orange” is a well-known song most people will know. The dance took around two or three weeks to plan.
“It took a couple weeks to prepare,” Cook said. “It only took about two weeks to get the last minute things like the decorations and tickets.”
This is one of the shorter dances of the year, so there is more time for longer day dates, pictures, and dinner.
“It’s a shorter one so that there is more time for longer day-dates as well as an after party,” sophomore class president McKenna Cook said.
The last chance to buy tickets is today after school or at the doors tomorrow.
