The new season of “Invincible” premiered on March 18, and with four seasons already out the stakes are getting high as the show grows more interesting and intense. The show shifted from having Mark Grayson fighting bad guys to him going to war with his own race.
“Invincible” is about a kid named Mark Grayson who is part-Viltrumite and part-human and lives on Earth with his parents. Mark’s dad, Nolan, is a Viltrumite and his mom is human. The Vitrumites are a powerful and advanced race and they take over planets to try and make them into their image. This is what causes Mark and his dad to go to war with their own people.
The season was great and the story was also good. I liked the character development of Mark because he is getting stronger every season as he fights his own race. And the conflict between Mark’s alliance and the Viltrumites was really good. The fight scenes between them were intense.
I also liked the development of Thrag. He is the powerful Viltrumite emperor who Mark and Nolan are fighting. Fans thought he wasn’t living up to the hype in the beginning of the season, but later on he proved his strength during the war.
I didn’t like how in the beginning of the season they were introducing some problems on Earth but then later on, Mark and his team left Earth and fought the war against his people. That’s about the only thing I didn’t like, though.
Overall I thought it was a great season and it’s one of my favorite shows to watch. The voice acting and animation is great. And they never disappoint when it comes to this show. I would suggest this show to anyone who likes action and can handle some gore.
