The show follows an elite spy, Twilight, taking on a role he never has before. To stop a war between Westalis and Ostania, the fictional countries the show takes place in. Twilight takes on the alias of Loid Forger, and makes his own family by adopting telepath Anya Forger, and pseudo-marrying his wife, Assassin Yor Forger. The only thing is, he doesn’t know Yor is an assassin, and she doesn’t know he is an elite spy. The anime focuses on this family all hiding their secrets from each other while the daughter actually knows it all. 

Season 3 kicks off with a new antagonist, the disciplinarian of Anya Forger’s school, Eden Academy, Donna Schlag. She gives out punishments like candy. We also get to dive into Loid’s memories as a child who grew up in a country on the brink of war.

As a whole, the show is a really good slice of life anime, combining wholesome family scenes, and high stakes action. You can find this show in almost any place where anime can be watched. 

I love this anime because of how it mixes tons of action with a nice slice of life. The animation is beautiful and having characters that feel deep instead of just shallow and one dimensional.

I think it’s one of the best anime I’ve ever watched. So give it a watch and you’ll be cheering for this family by the end.
