“The Drama” captures the week of a wedding, and shows the stress of truly finding out who you are vowing your life to. Zendaya plays Emma Harwood,a young woman facing harsh truths about her past she didn’t think would come back to haunt her, and it makes her fiance question the marriage. Robert Pattinson plays the character Charlie Thompson who admittedly goes insane with the new impression of his fiancee. He faces the battle of loving the version of her he knows now and this past version of her.
Film production took place October 21, 2024 and went to theaters March 17th, 2026. The director, Kristoffer Borgli, says the movie is a reflection on a relationship he had with a teenage girl in his 20s. Currently, no other details are online about this relationship. The Drama will be out in theaters for the next month or so.
In my opinion, this movie shows the beauty in the chaos of love. Love was never meant to be easy or in a straight line. It was meant to be up and down and these two have gone through the ups and downs, with Emma seeing how he handles surprising situations and Charlie overcoming the past of a loved one.
This movie is perfect for both teenagers and older adults. I would rate this film a 8.5 out of 10 because it is full of suspense and trauma, and keeps you guessing. I found that it contradicted itself at the end, leaving the viewer either mad or confused. All in all, the movie will get certain emotions to arise from everyone who watches and maybe change your outlook on society.
